Phenotypes of Smoke

As a teenager I was obsessed with nature and biology, particularly genetics. The photographs below are wildly different phenotypes (physical expressions) of the same gene – incense smoke. Thousands of photographs were taken, many of them just seconds apart. Like genetics, they show how minute, subtle changes can yield such drastically different results.
